Effective Communication

 In the article "What we do and don’t know about the links between air pollution and coronavirus" written by Lewis (2020), he stated on his view of how air pollution is link with corona virus. Air pollution has increased the rate of "strokes, heart disease, respiratory illness and more" which has lead to high mortality rate. Therefore, its clear that air pollution and corona virus are interlink. However there are other factors as well contributing to corona virus. In highly developed countries such as New York and London where it has high influx of people due to its "extensive global travel connections". It increases the chances of "person-to-person contagion rates". In urban areas, people also tend to take mass transport system. This means that higher chances of infectious rate. Even though air pollution plays a part in corona virus, there are other contributing factors too that affect is affecting corona virus.

 Dear Professor Brad, The purpose of me writing this formal letter to you is about an introduction about myself and the expectations I have for in this communication module. My name is Tan Jin Han, and I  graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a diploma in mechanical engineering. Currently, I am studying Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering (SIE) of building services in Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Due to one of the modules which I had studied in my polytechnic, I was amazed of how we are able to make use of resources such as the solar panels to generate electricity. Also, I had learned how a simple windmill is able to convert the energy from the wind to produce electrical energy. Subsequently, electricity is being provided to the users which is referring to us. It is truly difficult to explain the concepts of engineering to someone whom has no or little engineering backgrounds. It takes awhile for them to digest it. Vice versa, we as engineers might not understand terms such as "liquidity" in accounting.
